The novel, Lucy in the Sky, appealed to me because it’s a genuine story that talks about things, in which I can relate to. Even though this book is a fictional novel, it’s based off of real life situations, which makes this a genuine story. In the novel, you see a how an innocent teenage girl transforms into an addicted rebel. What I like about this book is, it seems as if the anonymous author didn’t have any limits, when it came to writing it. The plot is very detailed about the situations that occur in the story. It’s important for the author to write this way because it wouldn’t make sense to talk about a controversial topic, but to sugarcoat the realities revolving around it.
